The funeral of Mrs. Frank Warrick was held Wednesday afternoon at three o’clock from the Baptist Church, Rev. Foreman having charge.

Miss Emma Eliza Hooks was born in Effingham, Co., October 27, 1871 and died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Robert Wilson, in Blair, Nebr., March 7, 1921 being at the time of her death 49 years, 4 months and 10 days of age.

Her father died when she was only 3 years old and a year later her widowed mother with her children came to Nebraska and settled on the farm northwest of Blair now owned by Mr. Robert Hooks. Here she grew to womanhood and has spent her life in this vicinity.

She was married to Mr. Frank Warrick in Herman, Neb., Dec. 31, 1890. It was a great disappointment to her that no children came to bless their married life.

Here was the true mother heart so she adopted an 18 months old baby boy to be her son. And she loved him as her very own. No mother could have been more devoted to her own child than she was to her boy in whom her whole life was centered.

A splendid mother and father, wife was the verdict of all who knew her. She leaves besides her husband and son, Alfred, one sister, Mrs. Robert Wilson, and three brothers, Geo, and Robert of Blair and B. Frank Hooks of Oakville, Cal.

Mrs. Warrick health has been failing for about three years but she had been able to look after her household duties until about four months ago. Since that time she has lost strength rapidly.

On January 20th, she was taken to the Methodist Hospital in Omaha but receiving no benefits she was brought back to Blair and placed in the home of her sister, Mrs. Robert Wilson where all the loving hands could do was done but to no avail and she passed away at 4:30 Tuesday afternoon.

Three years ago last fall Mrs. Warrick accepted Christ as her Savior. On Nov. 18, 1917 followed her Lord in baptism and was received to the fellowship of the Baptist Church of which she has remained a faithful member until death. Now she has joined the church triumphant.
