Alice Lippincott & Isaiah Warrick

Died---At his residence in Cuming City, January 7th, 1885, Isaiah Warrick, aged thirty years. The deceased was indisposed some three weeks, but not until a day or two before his death had the family any serious apprehensions as to his condition. He had but recently completed a beautiful, commodious residence, in which, no doubt, he anticipated many years of happiness with his family. He was a loving and tender husband and father. A companion and two small children, with numerous relatives and friends, mourn his untimely loss. Scarcely had arrangements been made for the funeral services of Mr. Warrick, which occurred at the Baptist Church of this city on Friday afternoon, and were attended by a large concourse of friends. Rev. Holmes conducting the same, assisted by the pastors of the city, then sad news came from Craig, Burt County, that a sister, Mrs. Alice, wife of Ephriam Lippincott, had died of the same disease, typhoid fever, after an illness of some three or four weeks, She died the morning after her brother, aged twenty years. Funeral services were held at Craig the day following, conducted by Mr. Holmes, after which the remains were brought to this city and tenderly laid near those of dear ones, so many of whom have passed away during the past two years. Mrs. Lippincott leaves a husband, and babe of six months, besides many friends to mourn her loss. A large congregation met at Craig to testify their regards for the dead, as well as their sorrow for the living, and when the train arrived at Blair there was seen an universal assemblage drawn together by sympathy for those upon whom such afflictions had fallen.
