Services for Merle Watts, age 67 who died February 12, 1992 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha were Saturday, February 15 at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Merle Roberts Watts was born April 23, 1924 in Andalusia, Alabama to James Edward and Effie Williams Roberts. She attended school in Shreveport, Louisiana.

She married Carl Watts February 14, 1942 at Port Allen, Louisiana. They moved to Blair in 1946.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Church Circle and the Extension Club. She enjoyed bowling and was active with her husband Carl until her health failed. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, February 14.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son James and two brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Carl of Blair; daughter, Linda Miller of Blair, son and daughter-in-law Danny and Connie Watts of North Bend, six grandchildren, Joey and Cindy Miller, Becky and Scott Poe and Vikki and Pat Watts and two great-grandchildren, Ashley Miller and Janelle Poe.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangement.
