Brian D. Weatherly, 23

Brian D. Weatherly, 23, of Tekamah, died Friday, Oct. 2, 1998, as a result of an automobile accident.

Services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah with the Rev. Charity Forbes officiating.

Visitation will continue on Tuesday one hour before the service at the church.

Burial will be in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Brian Dennis Weatherly was born Dec. 29, 1974, in Blair to Denny Lee and Perky (Hawkins) Weatherly.

His love of farming began when he was young. He didn’t care about cartoons or other childhood things. His typical day included planting a 20-acre field with his toy machinery.

Brian graduated from Tekamah High School in 1993 with many accomplishments in football, wrestling and other activities.

He received a degree in agriculture at Northeast Community College in Norfolk in 1995. He used his degree in both his farming career and in his job at P & W, Inc.

On March 30, 1996, he married Kiley Ann Yowell at Tekamah. They lived on a farm south of Tekamah, where Brian continued his love of farming.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Tekamah.

He was a member of the Northridge Country Club. Golfing was one of his favorite pastimes. The one thing everyone remembers Brian boasting about is the admiration he felt when golfing with his favorite partner, Kiley. His loved for her showed in everything he did, but mostly in the grin he always had on his face.

He enjoyed life. He touched everyone with his kindness and laughter. He could make the best of any situation. Brian leaves his friends and family each with their own special memory to cherish forever.

He is survived by his wife, Kiley; his parents, Denny and Perky Weatherly; two sisters, Jodi and Julie; grandparents, Denzel and Lois Weatherly and Gerald and Janet Hawkins, all of Tekamah; father-in-law, John Yowell of Kent, Minn.; mother-in-law, Nell Wood of Pompano Beach, Fla; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
