Services for Mary M. Weathers, age 65 of Fort Calhoun who died September 30, 1992 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha following a stroke at her home in Fort Calhoun on Sunday, were held Saturday, October 3 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel in Blair. Burial was in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Mary M. Weathers was born March 15, 1927 in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska to William J. and Margaret Fuhrman Prochnow. She grew up in Fort Calhoun, graduating from Fort Calhoun High School in 1945.

On January 24, 1948 she married Harold Weathers in Omaha, Nebraska. They lived in various cities throughout the country due to Harold’s work at major construction jobs.

They retired in 1979 and moved back to Fort Calhoun.

She was a member of the Fort Calhoun American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 348 and the Blair Eagle’s Club No. 3215.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one niece.

She is survived by her husband, Harold of Fort Calhoun; sister, Lillian Prochnow of Fort Calhoun and brothers, Harry Prochnow of Chula Vista, California and Ray Prochnow of Dallas, Texas.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
