Sister Of Kennard Woman Died In Washington January 25

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Peacock of Kennard attended funeral services in Pawnee County, near Pawnee City, Nebraska, last weekend for Mrs. Peacock’s sister, Mrs. Mary Yelik. Mrs. Yelik, a resident of Battleground, Washington, had died there Friday, January 25th.

Others attending the services from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Peacock of Fremont and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Peacock and daughters, Edna Smith of Omaha and Mary Bird of Bellevue.

Mrs. Yelik is survived by her husband, Raymond, son-in-law and daughter, Jack and Mary Rae Pease and their daughters Marcella, Mary Kathleen and Jackie Lynne of San Jose, California; 3 brothers and 2 sisters: Verna Eastwood, Wymore, Nebraska; Henry Eastwood, Stockton, California; John, Blaine, Kansas; Lyall, Burchard, Nebraska and Mrs. Donald (Lucy) Peacock, Kennard, Nebraska, and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held in the rural Mission Creek Church, Pawnee City, Nebraska, with burial in the church cemetery on January 31, 1974.
