Clarence A. York, 62

Services for Clarence A. York, 62 of Onawa, Iowa, and formerly of Arlington, who died April 11, 1992, at Lexington, South Carolina, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, at the Arlington Community Church. Rev. Lee J. Milligan will officiate. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

Clarence A. York was born March 17, 1930, in Herman, Nebraska, to Amil C. and Clara I. Gehringer York. He graduated from Lyons High School in 1948.

He married Ruby Ann Bowden August 6, 1950 in Tekamah.

He was a plant manager for L.A.M. Laundry Machine, Inc. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fremont.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby of Onawa; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Susan York, Arlington; sons, Bryon York, Chicago, Illinois, and Steve York of Lincoln; and a daughter, Janie (Mrs. Bryan) Borg of Omaha. Five grandchildren also survive him.

Pallbearers will be Leo Panzer, Kim Fleischman, Allen Fleischman, John Maule, John Fister and Charles Hass.

Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
