DOUBLE TRAGEDY STRIKES FORMER BLAIR FAMILY

Two tragic deaths, on two consecutive days, occurred to the Henry Lattman family, former Blair residents, it has been learned.

Mr. and Mrs. Lattman were owners of the Blair Gamble Store prior to the store’s sale in 1950 to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schreiner.

Information has reached Blair that Phil Lattman, 48, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lattman, was struck and killed by a car driven by a driver who was said to be intoxicated. Phil was entering his car when struck by the passing vehicle. The accident occurred at Riverton, Wyoming where he lived.

The next day, September 23rd, Phil Lattman, Jr., 23, and son of the man killed on the 22nd, was killed when his car struck loose gravel and overturned. Phil was working for Union Carbide Co. at a plant about 30 miles from Riverton.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lattman presently live at Escandido, California.

Phil Lattman, Sr., is a graduate of Blair High School and was here last summer for a class reunion.
