Father of John Young Died July 17

George F. Young, 83, father of John Young, of Blair, died at the Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley Tuesday, July 17th. He had been in failing health for several years. He had lived at Missouri Valley for many years.

Mr. Young was a retired general car foreman for the Chicago & Northwestern Railway. He had been associated with the railroad for forty years.

He is survived by his wife; one son, John Young of Blair, Nebraska; five daughters, Mrs. Marion Shick of Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Ed Fisher of Mondamin, Iowa; Mrs. Paul Evans of Reno, Nevada; Mrs. Virgil Ramsey of Emerson, Iowa, and Mrs. Robert Murphy of Missouri Valley, and a number of grandchildren.
