Services Pending For John W. Young Sr.

Funeral services are pending for 76 year old John W. Young, Sr., who passed away on Sunday, March 9th at Borrego Springs, California. The Campbell Funeral * is now making arrangements for the services to be at the Saint Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery at Blair. The date and time have not been set at the time of this printing.

John W. Young, Sr., was born at Delphos, Ohio, on August 2, 1903. He was married to the former Florence Josephine Wilson who survives him. Mr. and Mrs. Young Senior had been in the restaurant business in Blair until their retirement several years ago. The couple had their residence at the Cottonwood Marina north of Blair.

Survivors include his wife, Florence, three children, fifteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one sister. The children are Mrs. James (Shirley) Gutschow of Blair; John Young, Jr., of Blair; and Mrs. Marshall (Bette) Compton of Chila Vista, California. The sister is Margaret Ramsey of Red Oak, Ia.
