Services for Perry D. Young, 62 of Silver Lake, Kansas, who died June 17, 1993, at his home, were held Monday, June 21 at the Church of the Assumption. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Perry D. Young was born April 21, 1931, in Blencoe, Iowa, to Elton and Alta Hall Young.

He was a member of the Church of the Assumption and Pipefitters Union Local No. 165.

He owned and operated the Perry D. Young Plumbing and Repair Co.

He married Judy Shamburg August 29, 1948, in Blair. She survives.

Other survivors include four sons, David K. Young, Donald M. Young and Mark V. Young, all of Sliver Lake and Robert J. Young of Topeka, Kansas; three daughters, Patricia A. Fay, Virginia Beach, Virginia; Barbara E. McLaughlin, Littleton, Colorado and Kriss Hewitt, Topeka; his mother, Alta Young, Blair; a brother, Franklin Young, Blair; two sisters, Eileen Miller of Omaha and Rosellen Wiekel of San Diego, California, and 11 grandchildren.
