Harold Zeigler To Be Buried In Falls City

Funeral services for Harold James Zeigler of Blair will be held Friday, November 2, at 10 a.m. at Chauer-Hodgins Funeral Home in Falls City, Nebraska. Burial will be in Steele Cemetery in Falls City.

Harold James Zeigler was born August 13, 1909, in Rulo, Nebraska. He died Tuesday, October 30, 1979, in Blair’s Memorial Community Hospital at the age of 70. His health had been failing for the past year.

He worked for Kelly Ryan in Blair, retiring in 1972. He was a member of VFW Post 1251. With his wife, Leota, he ran the Christmas Toy Factory at 1532 State Street in Blair, where they repaired toys for needy children in the area for two years.

His parents and a twin brother, Gerald, preceded him in death.

His wife, Leota, Blair; and three sons, Robert Zeigler, Falls City; Claude Zeigler, Falls City; and Jerry Zeigler, Herman, survive him. Seven grandchildren also survive him.

In lieu of flowers, his family asks that persons please send memorials to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1251 for Christmas toys for needy children.

Chauer-Hodgins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
