Funeral services for Kay Engelbart, 54, of Denver, formerly of Pender, were held Monday, December 28 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Denver.

Burial was in Hampden Memorial Gardens in Denver.

Kay Engelbart was born August 6, 1933, in Butte to Edwin L. and Cecilia (Fiese) Zeplin.

She graduated from Pender High School in 1961, and married Lee E. Engelbart on June 7, 1953.

Mr. Engelbart was employed by Ralston Purina Company and the family lived in many midwestern cities.

They were residing in Denver at the time of her death on Tuesday, December 22, 1987. She died after a long illness of cancer.

Survivors include her husband, Lee, former vocational agriculture teacher at Blair High School; two sons, Tim of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Mark of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Pam Olson of Boulder, Colorado, and Sheryl Engelbart of Columbia, Missouri; two grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Cecilia Zeplin of Pender; a sister, Mrs. Lester (Edene) Vogt of Pender, and a brother, Bill Zeplin of Chicago, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edwin in 1964.
