HARRIET R. LAUGHLIN, 84
Harriet R. Laughlin, 84, of Herman, died Monday, March 29, 1999, at Blair Memorial Community Hospital.
Services were 10 a.m. Friday, April 2, at the Herman Legion Hall. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.
Harriet R. Laughlin was born Sept. 23, 1914, to Edward W. and Christina (Hagge) Wilson in Herman.
She graduated from Herman High School in 1932.
Harriet attended Wayne Normal School for two years and graduated from Dana College in 1968.
A teacher in the Herman area for 35 years, she was a member of Herman Federated Church, Herman American Legion Auxiliary and Herman Order of Eastern Star 216.
She is survived by her husband, Howard; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Pamela Wachter of Urbandale, Iowa; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Keith Andersen of Herman; stepchildren, Patty Weberg of Wausa, and Ada Bucy and Tom Laughlin, both of California; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Cindy, Danielle and Rachel Andersen; Julie, Chris and Jessica Fleishman; Erica, Andrew and Jeffrey Wachter; and stepgrandsons, Tim and Gregg Bucy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Kenneth Wachter, and her sister, Elsie Wilson.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
