Fred E. Weaver, 91, Herman, passed away at his Herman home early Monday morning, March 2, 1987, after a lengthy period of failing health.

He was born on February 13, 1896, at Little Sioux, Iowa, to Clarence and Jessie (Cope) Weaver.

Fred farmed near Tekamah for many years.

He was married to the former Ruth Hansen on July 28, 1971, at Blair.

In his younger years, Fred enjoyed baseball and bowling.

He was a member of the Herman United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Weaver of Herman; one daughter, Margie Walker of Des Moines, Iowa; four step-daughters; Betty Heinssen of Blair, Marie Rager of Tekamah, Marian McClusky of Kansas City, Missouri, and Valerie Peterson of Herman; one step-son, John Henry Jensen of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren and eleven step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Bessie Ellis Weaver, in 1969.

Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 1987, at the Herman United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry G. Orvis officiating.

Interment was in the Herman Cemetery.
