R.L. Webb died at his home on west Lincoln street at 10 o’clock Monday evening and the funeral was held at the house at 9 o’clock this morning, Re. A.E. Marsh officiating. Huntley in Marathon, N.Y., June 5, 1865 and three children were born to them, two sons, Frank H., of California Junction, Ia,, and R.H. of Stromsburg, Neb,, and one daughter, Victoria Louise, who died here several years ago. Both boys were here for the funeral today, and, with their mother, took the remains to Missouri Valley and laid them to rest in Rose Hill cemetery.

Dies of Old Age

After being confined to his home almost continually for the past year because of the infirmatives occasioned by having passed the three score years and ten, the life of R.L. Webb ceased to exist on Monday, October 2. Mr. Webb was born in Cooperstown, N. Y., March 18, 1825, and was 86 years, 6 months and 14 days of age when he passed away. On the 5th of June, 1865, he was united in marriage to Avis M. Huntley at Marathon, N.Y., and to them three children were born, two of whom are living and are H. Webb of California and R.H. Webb of Stromsberg, Neb. In 1882 the family moved from New York State to Iowa, where they engaged in farming until 1903, when they removed to York, Neb. After leaving York, Mr. Webb moved to Blair and for the past five years has made this city his home.

The funeral services were held from the home this morning at 9:30, conducted by Rev. Marsh, and the body shipped to Mo. Valley, Ia., where interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
