Services Held For Emil Weber

Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Tekamah Saturday, July 19th for Emil Weber. He died at his home in Tekamah after a lingering illness.

The Rev. Clarence Campbell officiated at the services. Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.

Emil Weber was born on his father’s farm in Burt County near Herman on January 12, 1902. His parents were John Gotlieb Weber and Mary Christina Petersen.

He attended schools in the county and later followed the vocation of agriculture.

On February 16, 1924 he was married to Vera Laurene Cain.

After farming for seven years near Herman, he purchased a home in the Crawford Community.

In the fall of 1973, because of failing health, he moved to Tekamah.

Survivors are his wife, Vera, four brothers, Ted and Julius of Herman, Joe of Tekamah, and Peter of New London, Wisconsin, four sisters, Mrs. Byron Bartling (Mattie) of Craig, Mrs. Clyde Stork (Mary) and Mrs. Aaron Barker (Marguerite) of Tekamah and Emma Gehrt of Herman.

Pallbearers were Robert Andersen, Hilburn Nelson, Robert Brodersen, Richard Reyzlik, David Hull and Carol Gardepee.

Burial was in the Herman Cemetery.
