Anders Andersen 85 Years Old Died in Blair Hospital Friday

Funeral services for Anders Andersen of Blair, 85, who died in Blair Hospital Friday, were held at First Lutheran Church in Blair Monday, the Rev. H.C. Jorgensen officiating.

Mr. Andersen was born in Denmark Oct. 9, 1866, and came with his parents to America at the age of 17 years. The family settled near Kennard.

Married in 1888

Oct Oct. 6, 1888, he was married to Maren Jensen. They became the parents of three children, one of whom, a daughter, Karen, died at the age of seven years. Mrs. Andersen died in 1924.

Mr. Andersen moved to Blair from his farm near Herman in 1929, and has made his home here until last fall, when he was taken to the home of his son near Herman.

Mr. Andersen is survived by one son, Arhur W. Andersen of Herman; one daughter, Marie, of Blair, two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter and a number of other relatives.

Pallbearers were Hans M. Andersen, Christian Andersen, Walter Andersen, Albert Madsen, Thorvald Petersen and Eddie Blum. The Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair was in charge of arrangements.
