LaVonne R. Webster, 75

LaVonne R. Webster, 75, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at her home in Blair.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

LaVonne R. Webster was born April 2, 1928, in Blair to Otto and Lydia Lily (Witte) Christensen. She lived her entire life in Blair. She graduated from Blair High School in 1945.

On June 6, 1948, she married Darold Webster at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Mrs. Webster was a member of First Lutheran Church and faithfully attended Love Days, helped with the Lutheran Church Ambassador newsletter, and was co-chairman for funeral luncheons. She also was an assistant librarian at the Blair High School and was a member of the Pinochle Card Club for more than 50 years. She was a dedicated and loving grandmother. She loved to bake, especially pies.

She is survived by her husband, “Ozzie,” of Blair; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Cynthia Webster and Mark and Christine Webster, all of Blair; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and John Sullivan of Woodbine, Iowa; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother and sister-in-law, Lyle and Bonnie Christensen of Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge or arrangements.
