Rosemarie Van Norman, 68, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 74th and Hascall streets, Omaha. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 20, 1942, to Anthony and Gladys Weidner.

Professionally, Ms. Van Norman was recognized nationally as a leading expert in oral facial myology, having treated hundreds of children and some adults. She specialized in treating thumbsucking and other chronic habits to eliminate malfunction of facial bone structure and tooth development.

She is survived by a daughter, Danielle Van Norman; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary McGowan, Margaret Mahoney, Jenny and James Kozak; brother, Anthony Weidner; 33 nieces and nephews; numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jackie Schulte; a brother, DeForest Weidner; and Danny Van Norman.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice House-Josie Harper Residence.
