Lee Anna A. Kastler, 27, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at her home in Red Wing, Minn.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, in Red Wing. Interment will be at a later date at the French Church Cemetery in Woolstock, Iowa.

Lee Anna Arielle Kastler was born July 15, 1981, in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was the daughter of Lou and Kristi (Koenig) Kastler. Her family moved to Minnesota in 1990 and she was a 2000 graduate of Zumbrota-Mazeppa High School.

She had practiced Tae Kwan Do since she was in middle school and had also been a manager of the high school girl’s basketball team. After graduation, she took EMT training. A cat lover, she had been a volunteer for an animal rescue program, where she found two of her cats, Smokey and Shadow.

She most recently had worked for Marion’s Midway. She had a mechanical side and she enjoyed fixing things but she also enjoyed flowers, gardening and all of her cats, including Pumpkin and Squirt.

She is survived by her father and stepmother, Lou and Joan Kastler of Blair; her mother, Kristi Kastler of Red Wing; brother, Richard Kastler of Blair; half-siblings, Tabitha, Jimmy and Ricky Stallins; step-siblings, Samantha and Mitch Creamer, also of Blair; maternal grandmother, Avis Koenig of Red Wing; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Kastler of Mazeppa, Minn; her birth mother; Betty Stallins; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, David Koenig and paternal grandfather, Richard Kastelar and her birth father.
