Viola Petersen, 87, died Nov. 25, 2009, at her home in Aurora, Colo.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at the Blair Cemetery.

Viola “Vi” Juul was born in 1922 in Blair to Jens and Christina Juul. She was raised in Blair and attended Dana College.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Sparks; son and daughter-in-law, Burke and Barbara Petersen, and four grandchildren, all of Aurora; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Helen Juul and sister-in-law, Norma Juul, all of Blair.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald “Bud” Petersen, a brother, Rudy Juul, and sister and brother-in-law, Ella and Johnny Biffar.
