Funeral services were Wednesday, July 25, at Calvary United Methodist Church in Fremont for Martha Giblin Uhing, 78, of Fremont who died July 22, 1990 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Revs. Fred Richart and Eddie Masters officiated. Burial was in the Elk City Cemetery.

Martha Bolton Uhing was born December 20, 1911 in Fremont. She was raised there and moved to Valley in 1934.

She owned and operated a farm and moved to Snyder in 1965. There she was an owner-operator of the Farmer’s Bar. In 1974, she moved to Fremont.

She was a former member of the Elm Tree Extension Club in Valley.

She married Robert Uhing September 8, 1970 in Fremont. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Beverly (Mrs. Robert) Rix of Kennard and Nell (Mrs. Carl) Puls of Omaha; and three grandchildren.

A memorial has been established to the Arthritis Foundation.
