Agnes Florence Weeces, 86, of Craig died Monday morning, November 30, 1987 at the Oakland Care Center in Oakland, where she had been a resident for the past six months.

She was born May 25, 1901 at Inman to Andrus D. and Nellie (Freeman) Pond.

She was united in marriage to Claude Weeces on January 27th, 1926, in Blair.

Agnes was a past member of the United Presbyterian Women, a past member of the Country Women’s Club and a member of the Church Bible Study.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Craig nearly all her life.

Survivors include her husband, Claude Weeces of Craig, one son, Gerald Weeces of Tekamah, and one daughter, Lois Elaine Weeces of Hooper; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Louis Smith of Craig; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother (Walter Pond), and one grandson (Michael Weeces).

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 3, 1987, at the Craig Presbyterian Church with Pastor Hal Smith officiating.

Interment will be in the Craig Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by the Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah, where friends may call after noon on Tuesday.
