Claude A. Weeces, age 92, of Craig, passed away early on Tuesday morning, June 21, 1988 at the Oakland Memorial Hospital in Oakland, Nebraska after a lengthy illness.

He was born on October 16, 1895 at Craig, Nebraska to William and Eunice (Critchfield) Weeces.

Claude was married to Agnes F. Pond on January 26, 1926 at Blair, Nebraska. The couple farmed nearly all their lives near Craig and also near Wayne, Nebraska. Mrs. Weeces passed away on November 30, 1987.

Survivors include one son, Gerald Weeces of Tekamah and one daughter, Lois Elaine Weeces of Hooper; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Anna Deman of Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Agnes; his grandson, Michael Weeces, four brothers: Clyde, Earl, Jake and Charles Weeces; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Deman.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday June 23, 1988 at the Craig Presbyterian Church in Craig, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. Hal Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Craig Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah, where friends may call after 10:00 AM on Wednesday.
