Robert Wehrli, 68

Services were Monday, April 20 at the First Baptist Church for Robert Wehrli, age 68 of Blair, who died from an apparent heart attack April 18, 1992 at the Memorial Community Hospital. Military graveside services were held in the Blair Cemetery.

Robert Louis Wehrli was born March 27, 1924 at Honey Creek, Iowa to Louis and Marie Elizabther Boehler Wehrli. He was raised in the Honey Creek and Council Bluffs area, receiving his education at Abraham Lincoln School in Council Bluffs.

He served in the Navy from 1942-1945. He married Betty Garner May 3, 1952 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska.

He drove truck for Hinky Dinky until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of the Blair Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion and a member of the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Surviving him in death are his wife Betty; daughter Deborah Wehrli; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Larry Andersen; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Diane Wehrli, all of Blair. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Kevin, Steve and Wendy Wehrli and Joshua and Ashley Andersen; one sister (Mrs. Bob) Louisa Johnson, Petersen, Iowa and one brother, Richard Wehrli of Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
