Catherine B. Welch, 75

Catherine B. Welch, 75, of Lincoln, died Feb. 14, 2010, in a hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Mrs. Welch had been visiting her daughter, and fell, hitting her head on the driveway, and died from those injuries.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at College View Church in Lincoln. Visitation will precede the services. Interment will be a College View Cemetery.

Catherine “Cathy” Warrick was born March 29, 1934, in Blair to Manley “Jim” and Elnora Warrick. She was a Blair High School graduate and attended Union College in Lincoln where she earned a bachelor of science in nursing.

On June 26, 1955, she married Clifford R. Welch in Lincoln. They made their home in Lincoln where Mrs. Welch retired as a surgical nurse from Bryan LGH.

Her faith was a big part of her life. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist College View Church in Lincoln where the couple regularly attended services. They participated in a number of Maranatha projects, including projects in Scotland and Mexico, and a number of other projects in this country.

Travel and camping was something they enjoyed, taking many trips throughout the country in their RV.

Mrs. Welch is survived by her husband, Clifford, who was with her in Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Ken Fleming of Mansfield, Texas, and Susie and Bryce Wooledge of Lincoln; four grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Sheldon and Jenny Warrick of Blair and Roger and Judy Warrick of Hereford, Ariz.; and a sister, Corinne Biffar of Chico, Texas.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Birman Warrick.

Memorials are suggested to the College View Academy Worthy Student Fund in Lincoln.
