Hold Rites For Mrs. Utterback

Funeral Services Held Here Thursday At Hindley Residence

Funeral services for Mrs. B. M. Utterback, 81, an account of whose death was published last week, were held last Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leon Hindley, near Blair, by the Rev. R. P. Rasmussen, pastor of the Arlington Methodist church. Burial was in Arlington cemetery.

Mrs. Utterback died last Tuesday in an Omaha hospital. She had been making her home near here with her daughter.

Born in Illinois February 22, 1856, she was married to Benjamin Utterback December 23, 1874, in Illinois and two years later came with him to Nebraska. She was the mother of ten children, eight of whom survive. Mr. Utterback died in 1928. Most of her life was spent at Arlington.

The surviving children are Lewis of Blair, Robert and Elmer of Arlington, Lawrence of Omaha, Millard of Fremont, Lloyd of Castleford, Idaho, Mrs. Doris Hindley of Blair and Mrs. Lelah Woods of Salida, Colorado. There are 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She has three brothers, Frank Jenkins of Decatur, J. M. Jenkins of Lincoln and R. A. Jenkins of Talmage.

MRS. UTTERBACK BURIED THURSDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. B. M. Utterback, for many years a former resident of Arlington, were held on Thursday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. L. Hindley of Blair, and were conducted by the Rev. Ralph P. Rasmussen of Arlington.

Mrs. Utterback died at the Immanuel hospital in Omaha on last Tuesday.

As Sepania Virginia Jenkins she was born at Sumner, Illinois on February 22, 1856. She was married to B. M. Utterback in Richland county, Illinois on December 23, 1874, and came to Nebraska several years later. They resided in Arlington for a number of years, and in June, 1928 Mr. Utterback died there. Three years ago Mrs. Utterback gave up her home and went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Hindley, near Blair.

Ten children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Utterback, eight of whom survive here. They are: L. M. of Omaha; L. C. of Blair; R. C. and E. F., both of Arlington; J. M. of Fremont; Lloyd of Casselford, Idaho; Mrs. Leila Woods of Salida, Colorado; and Mrs. Doris Hindley of Blair.

Nineteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive and three brothers, J. M. Jenkins of Lincoln; R. A. Jenkins of Talmage and Frank Jenkins of Decatur.

Burial was made in the Arlington cemetery.
