Harry B. Ulmer Buried In Grand Island

Harry B. Ulmer died at the Veteran’s Home in Grand Island on December 21st, where he has been since last September.

He was born in Dawson, Nebraska, in 1873 and was 83 years of age at the time of his death.

Mr. Ulmer was a Veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion and a life member of the V.F.W. He was an Electrical Contractor and was employed by Iowa Light and Power and Consumers Public in Humboldt, Nebraska until he came to Blair in 1953. He was employed at Dana College until he retired. He then was manager of the V.F.W. Club until his health forced him to resign.

Mr. Ulmer was married to Ora Sherman in 1933 and his wife survives him. She resides at 766 No. 16th Street in Blair. Other survivors are a sister, Mabel Sloan of San Bernardino, California.

Burial was Tuesday, December 23rd in the Grand Island Veteran’s Cemetery.
