Dead Baby Found Near Arlington

The body of an infant, pronounced by the doctors to be about three days old, was found alongside of the railroad track, wrapped in a towel with an initial letter on it, last Thursday evening, bearing evidence of having been thrown from a car window of the train which passes that point, westbound, about 4 o’clock p.m. Coroner Pierce was notified and, accompanied by Sheriff Compton, went to Arlington and held an inquest. Dr. Davies testified that the child had been dead sometime before being deposited where the body was found. There appears to be no clue to the parties responsible for the crime though the sheriff is working through the Omaha police and detective force to find out about it.
