Funeral services for Herbert L. Unland who died June 13th were held on Friday afternoon at the M.E. church, being conducted by Rev. J. W. Henderson. The deceased, son of Geo. F. Unland and Philipina Ludwig Unland, was born near Arlington Oct. 3, 1878. On June 24th, 1902 he was united in marriage to Miss Ethel Morley and to this union were born two children, L. Carroll of Arlington and Mrs. Olive E. Cross of Wakefield. Mr. Unland lived practically all of his life on the old home farm near here. He was a faithful and loyal member of the M. E. church and has been very active in planning for the new church. Besides his two children, he leaves to mourn his departure, nine brothers: Edward and Albert of Hemet, Cal.; Wm. Of Arlington; Julius of Alamo, Texas; Emil of Riverside, Cal.; Samuel of Alhambra, Cal.; Howard of Los Angeles, Cal.; Roscoe of Hemet, Cal.; and Benjamin of Alhambra, Calif.
