Funeral Held in Bennington for Alice Anderson

Funeral services for Alice D. Anderson were held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bennington with Rev. Norman E. Schroeder officiating on Wednesday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery in Omaha.

Alice D. Anderson was born to Carl and Dorothy Ruser Wenger on February 14, 1912, at Omaha, Nebraska. She attended the Omaha Public Schools and graduated from Technical High School. She spent most of her life up until 1959 in Omaha.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church of Omaha. On May 8, 1960, she became a member of St. John's and has continued faithfully in her membership there.

Alice and Nick W. Coroch were united in marriage in 1929. Two sons, Eldon and Kenneth, were born to this union. Nick preceded her in death.

On November 20, 1959, George Anderson and Alice were married at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church. They established their residence in Bennington. Alice was preceded in death by George.

At one time she taught millinery classes in Omaha. She worked at Zoobs Apparel Shop. Recently she served as grandmother to about 300 boys at Boys Town.

Alice moved from Bennington several months ago to take up residency with her son, Kenneth, and children in California. She died on Friday, November 13, 1981, following a cerebral hemorrhage which came earlier in the week. She died at the hospital in Alta Loma, California, at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 29 days.

She is survived by three sons, Eldon Coroch of Everett, Washington, Kenneth Coroch of Alta Loma, California; and Alan Anderson of Owasso, Oklahoma. Three grandsons, John and Todd Coroch and David Anderson; three granddaughters, Laura Irwin, Debbie Coroch and Kathryn Anderson one brother- Kenneth Wenger of Omaha; two nieces and one nephew; other relatives and many friends also survive her.
