Services For Mrs. Wendt Wed.

Services were held Wednesday, May 28th, at the United Methodist Church for Mrs. Bertha E. Wendt, a resident of the Good Shepherd Home. She passed away Sunday, May 25th, at the Blair Hospital.

Bertha was born February 24, 1888 to George and Margaret Voss on a farm south of Blair. She was married to Fred A. Wendt March 31, 1909 and spent most of her life in Washington County. Her husband and two infant sons preceded her in death. Survivors are: a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Verna) Totten of Nickerson, Nebr.; son, Herbert of Blair, six grandchildren, (two of whom are serving with the armed forces overseas), 4 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers, Louis and Charles of Blair, George of DeSmet, South Dakota, and Ferdinand of Winside, Nebr. and one sister, Theresa Wiese of Omaha. Burial was in the German Cemetery at Bennington. Pallbearers were John Voss, Henry Voss, Leroy Voss, Howard Voss, Arnold Wiese and Marvin Andersen.
