Doris E. Wenger, 81

Former Baltimore, Md. resident Doris E. Wenger, 81, of Blair, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Funeral services and visitation will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 30, at Good Shepherd Home. Interment will be at Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore.

Doris E. Wenger was born June 27, 1921, in Maryland to William and Mary Chadwick. She married J. Lester Wenger on July 1, 1939. She was a homemaker and worked as a World Book Encyclopedia representative from the 1960s through the 1980s.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Nis and Elois “Ellie” Mommsen of Blair, and Robert and Maxine Williams of Broomfield, Colo.; three grandsons and their wives; three great-granddaughters and a great-grandson; a brother, William Chadwick of Elkton, Md., and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Mary Schaeder, and a daughter, Edna M. Wenger.

Memorials are suggested to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.
