Patricia Stavely Wright, 83

Patricia Stavely Wright, 83, of Blair, died peacefully on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Crowell Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with a rosary at 6 p.m. and the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Patricia Stavely was born March 7, 1929, in Jefferson City, Mo., to W. Russell and Mary (Mullally) Stavely.

She grew up in Omaha where she graduated from North High School. She was a graduate of Stephens College and the University of Missouri with a bachelor of arts degree in theater arts.

She married Jesse Hughes Wright in 1951 and ultimately settled in Blair.

She was active in numerous organizations. The Blair Community Theater, the Blair Community Hospital Auxiliary, the Monday Afternoon Club and the Blair Public Library were some of her favorites.

She spent 20 years working with numerous Blair High School seniors, coaching and preparing them for the Nebraska Junior Miss Pageant.

Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her husband, looking after her grandson, being with her friends and reading.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse; two sons, Jess Stavely Wright of Omaha and Larry Kevin Wright of Palm Beach, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Ellen S. Wright; and her grandson, Jess Hughes Wright of Chicago, Ill.

Memorials are suggested to Crowell Memorial Home and St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.
