Blair Lady Dies Suddenly In West

Word was received in Blair the first of the week of the sudden death of Mrs. Hollis Wentworth, a Blair resident, at a hotel in Laramie, Wyo. where she and her grand-daughter were passing the night, preparatory to meeting her son Wesley, the next day.

Mrs. Wentworth left Blair in company with Mrs. Chas. Haynes and others, by way of auto, for Wyoming. The party she was with, left her at Cheyenne and taking her little eight-year old grand-daughter, she went to Laramie to meet her son, the child’s father, who had not yet arrived so they stayed over night at the hotel.

The cries of the child in the morning attracted the attention of the hotel people and when they got the door unlocked, they found Mrs. Wentworth had passed away probably several hours before.

After several hours the son was located and the news of his mother’s death was sent him.

The body was brought to Blair Wednesday morning and funeral services were held at the home of the deceased in north Blair, at 2:00 o’clock this afternoon. Rev. O.E. McProud of the M.E. church officiated and the Rebekah organization of which Mrs. Wentworth was a member took part in the services.

Burial was made in the Blair cemetery beside her husband and son, John.
