Elmer Levi Engen, 81, a retired area farmer, died Tuesday, July 14, 1987, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

He was born on September 28, 1905, in Moorehead, Iowa, to Ollie and Hilga (Moen) Engen.

He was a former member of the Eagles Post #3215 in Blair, and the First Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley.

On May 23, 1933, he married Eva McIntosh in Denison, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife Eva of Modale, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. Augustus (Irene) Hanson of Little Sioux, Iowa, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 16, 1987, at the First Lutheran Church in Missouri Valley with Pastor James Murray officiating.

Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.
