Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home for Otto Wenz, Sr., who died Dec. 7, 1996 at his residence in Blair. Burial will be in the German Cemetery in rural Blair.

Otto Wenz was born July 11, 1906 at Falls City, Nebr. As a young child, he moved with his parents to Diller, Nebr. where he went to school.

After reaching manhood, he came to Washington County, where he took up farming.

In 1943, he dedicated his life to his heavenly Father, “Johovah God” and to proclaiming of God’s Kingdom, as the only hope for mankind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Lena Kammer Wenz and by an infant son, Daniel Alan Wenz.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dora Schneider Wenz and six children and their spouses, Don and Wilma Wenz Sepanek, Blair; Lymann and Delores Wenz Andersen; Otto, Jr. and Sharon Wenz of Tekamah; Windsor and Pattie Wenz of Garner, Iowa; Richard and Diana Wenz, Blair and Roger Wenz of Blair; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Riley King, Ron Kuhlman, Jerry Kyle, Terry Petersen, Gary Strange and Larry Thiede.
