Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret VanBeek of Blair were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 5, at the First Lutheran Church. Rev. Carl F. Schattauer officiated with organist Clare Cowing and a solo of “Old Rugged Cross”. Burial followed at the Blair Cemetery.

Margaret was born December 11, 1908 in Omaha to George W. and Hilma E. (Mattson) Craig. She married Emerald VanBeek, who preceded her in death. Margaret died Tuesday, April 2, at the Crowell Home at the age of 76.

Survivors are granddaughter Mrs. Debbie Briggum of Mississippi and three great-grandsons, sisters Mrs. George (Martha) Tibbets of Blair and Mrs. Erick (Hilma) Johnson of Omaha, one niece, five nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons and one sister.

Pallbearers were Donald Andersen, Reynold Kubie, Kenneth Truhlsen and Lyle Truhlsen. Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
