Kennard Woman, 64, Succumbs Suddenly At Her Home Monday Morning

Mrs. Frank VanDeusen, 64, of Kennard, fell dead Monday morning at breakfast at the VanDeusen home in Kennard. She had been in failing health.

Funeral services, in charge of the Campbell Mortuary of Blair, are being held at 2 p.m. today at Kennard Methodist church. The Rev. A. W. Clarke of Arlington is officiating.

Emily Elizabeth Isaacs was born near Springfield, Mo., Jan. 6, 1882. She and Mr. VanDeusen were married at Kansas City, Mo., Nov. 27, 1923. They came to Kennard and remained there three years before going to Missouri. In 1934 the family returned to Kennard and has been there since.

Surviving Mrs. VanDeusen are her husband, Frank; one daughter, Miss Bessie VanDeusen; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Frank Van Deusen of Kennard died suddenly on Monday morning of a heart attack. She had been in ill health form some time, but at the time of her death was thought to be improving.

Deceased was born in Springfield, Missouri in 1882 to Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Isaacs. Her early life was spent near Branson, Missouri. In November, 1923 she was united in marriage to Frank Van Deusen at Kansas City, Missouri. One child, Bessie Ann, was born to this union. The family lived two years in Nebraska before moving to Missouri where they lived for seven years.

In 1934 they moved back to Kennard where they have since resided. She leaves to mourn her passing the husband and daughter, a number of nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends who, with the Enterprise, extend heartfelt symphony in the great bereavement.

Funeral services are being held this Thursday afternoon from the Methodist church in Kennard with Rev. A. W Clarke in charge and interment will be made in the Kennard cemetery.
