Services for Ernest A. West, who was born March 6, 1910, in Herman, and died January 21, 1986 in Moline, Illinois, after a lengthy illness are planned.

West lived in the Herman area from birth until the late 1930’s. His parents were Jesse and Louise Johnson West formerly of Herman.

He was a graduate of Herman High School in 1928.

His survivors include his wife Margaret, sons: Ernest of Maysville, Iowa; Neil of Davenport, Iowa; Gary of Sierra Vista, Arizona; David of Port Byron, Illinois. Ernest has six grandsons, three granddaughters, and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 23 and the funeral will be Friday, January 24, at the Campbell Funeral Home in Blair at 2 p.m.
