Funeral services for 79 year old Gertrude Mae West, of Parkview Manor in Blair, were at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 11th. Mrs. West died on Thursday, January 7th, in Blair. The services were at the First Methodist Church in Blair with the Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Rev. Gordon Patterson officiated with Bette Kirk and Clare Cowing providing the music.

Mrs. West was born at Randolph, Nebraska on January 24, 1902 to Mr. and Mrs. James P. Stricklett. Gertrude was married to Neil E. West who preceded her in death. She had been a housewife and telephone operator during her lifetime.

She is survived by one son: Gail West of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Two sisters also survive. They are: Geneva Leptien of Blair and Harriett Hall of Wayne, Nebraska.

Pallbearers were: Harry Tucker, Carl Mackie, Dean Lallman, Louis Nielsen, Sheldon Warrick and Kenneth Hineline.
