Former Decatur Woman Buried At Herman Tuesday

Death came Saturday, August 16th to Mrs. Ernest A. West of Perham, Minnesota. Mrs. West died in St. Mary’s Hospital at Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

Mrs. West, the former Hazel Squires, was born November 26, 1908 to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Squires at Decatur, Nebraska.

She is survived by her husband and by four sons and nine grandchildren. The sons are Ernest M., Gary and Neil, all of Davenport, Iowa, and David West of Moline, Illinois.

Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Robert Smith and a brother, Marvin Squires, both of Decatur. Another brother, John, lives at Omaha and Perham, Minnesota.

Services for Mrs. West were held at the Lutheran Church in Decatur on Tuesday, August 19. Burial was made in the Herman Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Clark Squires, John Squires, Robert Smith, Gary Huffman, John Mayott and Hugh Hunt.
