Mrs. Mary Enger Died At Good Shepherd Sunday

Mary Hansine Enger, mother of former Blair businessman, Alfred Enger, died at the Good Shepherd Home Sunday. She was 90 years old.

Mrs. Enger was born in Denmark January 26, 1884, came to this country as a young girl and lived much of her life in the Herman vicinity. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hans Enger.

Mrs. Enger was a housewife all of her life, she and her husband having lived on a farm for much of their married life. After her husband's death, she moved to Blair, living at 552 North 19th Street. On September 1, 1972, she moved to the Good Shepherd Home and she remained there until her death Sunday.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons. The daughters are Mrs. Viola Patrick of Craig, Nebraska; Mrs. Evelyn Magill at Herman and Mrs. Mildred Rader of Oregon. The sons are Howard Enger, of Omaha and Victor Enger of Herman.

A brother, Ed Sorensen lives in California. There are two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Larsen, of Hastings and Mrs. Camilla Rosenbaum, of Omaha.

There are ten grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran Church Wednesday, November 13th. The Rev. Robert Albers conducting the service.

Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.
