Services for Beatrice Westergaard, age 93, of Blair who died at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home August 14, 1994 will be held Wednesday, August 17 at 1:30 p.m. at Campbell-Aman Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Springwell Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska.

Beatrice E. Westergaard was born May 17, 1901 to Arthur and Emma Stiles Knight at Irvington, Nebraska. She graduated from Irvington High School.

She married Fred Westergaard March 14, 1923 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They farmed near Irvington for three years then moved to rural Blair until 1955. They returned to the home farm near Irvington until 1987. She had lived in Blair since.

She was the state home extension club president in the 1950’s and a member of Wranch-Maney Extension Club for over 50 years.

Her husband preceded her in death January, 1986.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Russell; one brother and one sister.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Harriett of Craig, NE; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn of Omaha, NE; a sister-in-law, Anna Knight of Blair; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
