Agnes J. Feser, 77

Agnes J. Feser, 77, of Blair, died Thursday, October 25, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, October 29, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dunlap, Iowa. Interment was in St. Clair Cemetery in Ute, Iowa.

Agnes Janet Heffernan was born June 7, 1935, to Maurice and Helen (Shanahan) Heffernan.

She attended school in Ute and graduated from Ute High School in 1954. After graduation, she moved to Omaha and began working in the insurance industry.

On June 16, 1956, she married James Feser in Charter Oak, Iowa. She raised three daughters. She returned to the workforce doing various jobs, but she most loved being with her family.

She moved to Blair in 1999.

She enjoyed playing cards, doing crafts and taking care of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Jack Bolter of Omaha, Michele and Tim Edens-Armstrong of Papillion, and Jennifer and Gregg Studanski of Blair; nine grandchildren; two-plus great-grandchildren; a twin sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Donnie Stessman of Dunlap; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tim and Jan Heffernan of Missouri Valley, Iowa, and Mike and Shirley Heffernan of Bonner Springs, Kan.; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Heffernan.

Fouts Funeral Home in Dunlap was in charge of arrangements.
