Max E. Hadfield, 74, of Woodbine, Iowa, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine.

Services were Monday, Oct. 22, at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Interment was in Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia, Iowa.

Max E. Hadfield was born April 15, 1938, in Spencer, Iowa, to Max M. and Mildred (Noyes) Hadfield.

He graduated from Mondamin High School in 1956.

He helped out on the family farm and drove a school bus for Mondamin High School. He also worked for Schemmer at the rock quarry.

He enjoyed traveling and country music.

He is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Genee and Norm Godden of Carmel, Ind., and JoAnne Sweezey of Blair; three nephews; four great-nieces and one great-nephew.

Woodbine, IA, formerly of Mondamin, IA. Passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Rose Vista Nursing Home in Woodbine. Max was preceded by his parents, Max M. and Mildred (Noyes) Hadfield. Survivors include his sisters, Genee Godden and husband, Norm, Carmel, IN, JoAnne Sweezey, Blair, NE; nephews, Matt and Nick Godden, Jeff Sweezey; great-nieces, Lauren Godden, Hannah Godden, Emilia Godden, Samantha Sweezey; great-nephew, Ben Godden.

Friends may stop and pay their respects 9am-9pm Sunday at the Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Family visitation Monday, October 22, 2012 9:30am until Funeral Services at 10:30 am at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home, Missouri Valley, IA. Final Resting Place, Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia, IA.
