Leona I. Fuchs, 105, of Fremont, formerly of Arlington, died Sunday, October 28, 2012, at Nye Legacy in Fremont.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 2, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Arlington. Visitation is Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery near Arlington.

Leona I. Hagerbaumer was born April 5, 1907, in Hooper, to Henry and Mary (Geisler) Hagerbaumer. She grew up on a farm east of Winslow and attended Immanuel Lutheran School near Hooper.

On Feb. 26, 1939, she married Oswald T. Fuchs at Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Winslow. After their marriage, the couple lived on a farm north of Arlington until retiring and moving into Arlington in 1976. Mr. Fuchs died December 28, 1989.

Mrs. Fuchs had been living at Nye Legacy since September 2010.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Arlington, and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gene Fuchs and Robert and Cheryl Fuchs, all of Arlington, and Roger and Jean Fuchs of Portland, Ore.; daughter and son-in-law, Arlyce and Charles Olsen of Missouri Valley, Iowa; sister-in-law, Phyllis Hagerbaumer of Minden; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter-in-law, Mary Fuchs; brothers, Art, Obert and Harvey Hagerbaumer; sister, Elsie Gnuse and an infant sister, Paula.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and to "The Lutheran Hour."
