Geraldine J. Mickey, 88, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

She was cremated and no visitation or services are planned at this time.

Geraldine J. McIntosh was born April 16, 1924, in Missouri Valley to Oscar and Josephine (Brinker-Shannon) McIntosh. She graduated from Missouri Valley High School. In 1949, she married Leland D. Mickey.

She worked at Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley as a surgery technician and in supplies for many years.

She loved her family and she enjoyed baking and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland, and brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Linda Miller of Oklahoma City, Okla., Gary and Rosan Mickey of Temecula, Calif., Roger and Charlene Mickey of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Tim and Kathy Mickey of Logan, Iowa, and Joy and Sam Ruma of Fort Calhoun; brother, Wendell McIntosh of Salina, Kan.; 15 grandchildren; and 22-great-grandchildren.

Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley was in charge of arrangements.
