Earl Van Eck

Earl Van Eck age 85 of Unionville, MO passed away on June 24, 2003 at the Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, IA.

He was born June 23, 1918 in Pleasantville, IA to the late Art and Jessie Slykhuis Van Eck. On February 26, 1942, he married Mildred Simmons in Unionville, MO. He moved back to Unionville, MO in May of 1990 from Melcher, IA. He did carpentry work and farmed all of his life. He liked to tinker, fix things, and invented things to make life easier. He liked to play cribbage and pitch.

Earl us survived by his wife Mildred of the home, two daughters; Dixie & Boyd Lambert of Kennard, NE, Judy Valentine & special friend, Bill Brown of Unionville, MO, a son, Johnnie & JoAnn VanEck of Pleasantville, IA; nine grandchildren; Kevin Valentine, Kimberly & David Rodrick, Jodie & Brad Reeh, Gina & Jim Heins. Todd & Tracy Bingham, Joshua, Johnathan, and Jeremv Van Eck, Rex & Sue Lambert, Robin & Don Peck, ten great-grandchildren: Dylan Valentine, Brianna & Brylie Rodrick, Jennifer, Alli & Chelsea Reeh, Amanda & Jacob Kahnk, Justin & Zackary Bingham.
